About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist Clinical Trials Specialist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Trials Pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all aspects of Pharmacy Clinical Trial from setup to close down, encompassing feasibility review, costings, study document setup and update, amendment processing, and proactive challenge resolution.
  • Provide updates on pharmaceutical aspects of trials to ensure alignment with project goals and accuracy check oral and aseptically prepared trial medications as required.
  • Coordinate and deliver Pharmacy support to Researchers in the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, working closely with the dedicated Clinical Trial Team to plan workload for Pharmacy Services.
  • Ensure that Pharmacy procedures relating to clinical trials involving IMPs are in accordance with appropriate regulations and with Research Governance Framework.
  • Provide highly specialised professional expertise to Researchers in the development of clinical trial protocols involving medication and related substances, and provide advice & information regarding the application for Clinical Trial Authorisation certification from the MHRA.

Person Specification
  • M Pharm Qualified to masters degree level (4 year MPharm) or equivalent
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Great Britain)
  • Wide Hospital Pharmacy experience
