Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Trials Pharmacist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Trials Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth conduct of clinical trials within our pharmacy department.

Main Duties

  • Participate in all aspects of pharmacy clinical trials from setup to close down, including feasibility reviews, costings, study document setup, and amendment processing.
  • Proactively address challenges to ensure trial progression, maintaining patient safety and data integrity.
  • Provide updates on pharmaceutical aspects of trials to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Accuracy check oral and aseptically prepared trial medications as required.
  • Coordinate and deliver pharmacy support to researchers in the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
  • Work with the dedicated Clinical Trial Team to plan workload for pharmacy services and ensure operational implementation.
  • Ensure that pharmacy procedures relating to clinical trials involving IMPs are in accordance with appropriate regulations and with Research Governance Framework.
  • Provide highly specialized professional expertise to researchers in the development of clinical trial protocols involving medication and related substances.
