Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Company Secretary to join the Company Secretarial Group in London Legal at Goldman Sachs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for company secretarial services to GS entities in EMEA, assisting in maintaining entity records, and liaising with various divisions to ensure smooth operations of boards and committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for board and committee meetings, including preparation, attendance, and minuting.
  • Liaise with internal divisions for smooth running of boards and committees.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate entity records and processing key returns to regulatory bodies.
  • Set up new entity records on management systems.
  • Assist in validating entity and director information regularly.
  • Coordinate with overseas service providers for special purpose vehicles.
  • Prepare management information and reports on entities and committees.
  • Assist in the preparation of Secretary's Certificates and Delegated Signing Authorities.
  • Review and implement corporate governance developments.
  • Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the Company Secretarial Group.

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified Chartered Secretary (ACIS or FCIS).
  • Experience in board and committee meeting preparation and minuting.
  • Entity management experience and knowledge of company secretarial practice.
  • Practical experience with entity management tools.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a proactive nature and interest in company secretarial matters.
