Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and talented leader to join our team as a Children's Services Manager at Strabane Sure Start. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our dynamic multi-disciplinary team and overseeing the delivery of vital services to children aged 0-4 and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of dedicated professionals
  • Lead engaging team meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage substantial finances and oversee service delivery and reporting
  • Plan and coordinate service development and work closely with the Management Committee

Requirements:

  • A degree or professional qualification in Social Work, Teaching, Youth and Community Work, Nursing, Community Development, or Early Years
  • Experience in promoting and developing services for children and families
  • Proven management experience, including managing and responding to safeguarding concerns
  • Experience in developing and managing a large team
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of issues facing children aged 0-4 and their families

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working directly with children aged 0-4 and their families
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary context, using community development approaches and interagency partnerships
