Lead Our Dynamic Team as Children's Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced and talented leader to guide and inspire our multi-disciplinary team at Strabane Sure Start.

About the Role

As a Children's Services Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting staff, leading engaging team meetings, collaborating with the Child Care Partnership and other key organisations, monitoring and managing substantial finances, overseeing service delivery and reporting, planning and coordinating service development, and working closely with the Management Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support staff to deliver high-quality services to children and families
  • Lead team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Child Care Partnership and other key organisations to achieve shared goals
  • Monitor and manage substantial finances to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Oversee service delivery and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Plan and coordinate service development to meet the needs of children and families
  • Work closely with the Management Committee to ensure effective governance and decision-making
Requirements
  • A degree or professional qualification in Social Work, Teaching, Youth and Community Work, Nursing, Community Development, or Early Years
  • Experience in promoting and developing services for children and families
  • Proven management experience, including managing and responding to safeguarding concerns
  • Senior management experience managing large teams of 10 and over
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of issues facing children aged 0-4 and their families
  • Ability to meet the travel requirements for the role
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working directly with children aged 0-4 and their families
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary context, using community development approaches and interagency partnerships
