Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of Area Managers.
- Oversee operational teams during shifts, addressing challenges and enhancing site performance.
- Evaluate shift performance against business objectives and implement strategies for operational improvement.
- Collaborate with various support teams, including Human Resources, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security.
- Design and execute initiatives aimed at boosting operational efficiency.
In this role, you will manage shifts at one of our operational facilities, acting as a crucial link between multiple teams, including finance and safety. Your day will involve:
- Engaging in meetings across different business sectors.
- Analyzing performance metrics and preparing for varying demand levels.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to your team, fostering their development as effective managers.
The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is essential to our operational pace. By utilizing various transportation methods and state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will contribute to maximizing Amazon's logistical efficiency. Our team leverages data to inform decisions, driving innovation and effectiveness.
Safety is our top priority, and we rely on our skilled workforce to ensure packages reach their destinations swiftly and sustainably.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications- A degree.
- Experience in managing people and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal communication skills and proficiency in the local language.
- Experience in utilizing data to influence business decisions.
- Knowledge of production and supply chain processes.
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Background in a similar logistics environment.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
