Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Credit Control team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of accounts receivable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to collect outstanding payments through various communication channels.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and update necessary information in our systems.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies by collaborating with other departments and issuing credit notes when required.
- Conduct regular reviews of the ledger to prepare for communication with customers regarding overdue accounts.
- Authorize the release of orders and accounts that have been placed on hold.
- Handle requests for proof of delivery for direct orders.
- Assist in managing unallocated cash and support the cash and banking team with remittance processing.
- Facilitate card payment transactions.
- Escalate significant overdue debts and unresolved issues to the appropriate management personnel.
- Process credit and cash applications as needed.
- Perform additional credit control tasks as required.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A background in credit control or accounts receivable is preferred.
