About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's growing team at a London-based Housing Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing orders, monitoring costs, and ensuring financial reporting and forecasting systems are in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices using a good understanding of the National housing federation rates.
  • Manage orders for responsive repairs, neighbourhood services, and planned works, controlling and monitoring costs.
  • Ensure orders are coded and allocated to the correct budget lines, with appropriate evidence saved on systems.
  • Take ownership of requisition approval processes, validating requisition and purchase orders before ordering goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems.
  • Contribute to the budget plan and compile budget reports monthly.

Requirements

  • Experience in Social Housing, with a good understanding of the sector.
  • Experience working with customers within housing, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Risk assessment and management skills.
  • Financial management and budgeting expertise.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Building Management or IOSH Managing Safety.
  • A full UK driver's license.

Working Hours

  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
