We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team as a Lecturer in Construction Multi-Skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students across a range of programmes, with a focus on construction skills.

Key Duties:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and electronic resources.
  • Develop and maintain schemes of work and assessment plans to ensure students meet awarding body requirements.
  • Conduct moderation and verification of student work to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate functional skills into the vocational curriculum.
  • Undertake administrative tasks to support the effective operation of programmes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a level 2 vocational qualification in the Construction industry.
  • GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and maths.
  • Substantial, recent, and relevant industrial experience in Construction Maintenance.
  • Ability to teach on multiple trade areas, including Carpentry, Bricklaying, and Plumbing.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to travel independently to other centres operated or staffed by the College.

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid DBS check.
  • Two professional references.
