About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Practitioner in Primary Care, working with children and young people in Kent and Medway. As a key member of our integrated teams in GP surgeries, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care in Primary Care settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Embedding the role of Mental Health Practitioner in Primary Care Networks
  • Delivering mental health support for children and young people in Primary Care settings
  • Working autonomously and creatively in a busy and demanding role
  • Excellent assessment skills and knowledge of local services
  • Gatekeeper and guardian for referral to secondary services
Requirements
  • Registered mental health professional (NMC, HCPC etc) appropriate to the job role
  • Sound knowledge/skills of Evidence-Based Practice in relation to Children's MH and emotional wellbeing
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both within MDT and independently
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience working in CAMHS or equivalent service, with complex cases
