The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic Road Sales Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and forging strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve ambitious revenue targets within the European groupage market.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients across various industries, leveraging your existing network and industry knowledge.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are established.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within existing and prospective clients.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform your sales strategies.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven commercial sales experience within the European groupage market.
  • A deep understanding of the international freight forwarding landscape and key industry players.
  • Exceptional business development skills, including lead generation, relationship building, and negotiation expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction at all levels.
