About the Role
Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly skilled Client Manager to join their team in Macclesfield. As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing and preparing accounts for a range of businesses, including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, providing expert accountancy services and building strong relationships.
- Prepare and submit statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns for clients.
- Train and mentor junior team members, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
- Manage progress and billing targets, ensuring clients and partners are kept up-to-date.
- Develop strong client knowledge and build relationships, providing insightful advice and guidance.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure clients receive the highest standard of service.
- Pitch for new business, develop business relationships, and attend networking events.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record in servicing a large client portfolio.
- Experience in managing and coaching juniors, providing on-the-job training and mentorship.
- ACA/ACCA qualification and strong experience working at a qualified level within practice.
- Strong knowledge of accountancy software and excellent interpersonal skills.
