Role Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist learners with additional educational support requirements, particularly those with identified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Additional Learning Support Team, directly reporting to the Additional Learning Support (ALS) Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with learners, their families, educational institutions, colleagues, and external organizations to evaluate, identify, and develop tailored support strategies for individuals facing learning challenges.
- Provide pre-entry and ongoing support to facilitate the achievement of educational goals and progression.
- Work in partnership with other members of the Additional Learning Support Team, as well as the examinations team, curriculum staff, and other relevant professionals.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- English and Mathematics qualifications at Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent)
- A specialist qualification in SEND
- A Certificate in Psychometric Testing, Assessment, and Access Arrangements (CPT3A or equivalent) to comply with JCQ standards
- A commitment to working with respect, sensitivity, and confidentiality.

Reporting Structure:
The SEND & EAA Assessor will report to the ALS Team Leader, under the overall supervision of the Head of SEND & High Needs, while closely collaborating with colleagues within ALS and the broader Student Support teams.
