Lead Pharmacist (Oncology & Haematology Services)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at the London Bridge Hospital, a leading private healthcare hospital in the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and safe pharmacy service within the hospital's Guys Cancer Centre. This will include leadership of the Pharmacy service, which encompasses dispensary services, aseptic production, inpatient and outpatient services for oncology, haematology, and surgical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services on the Haematology/Oncology Ward, including reviewing patients in the chemotherapy day unit and transplant patients.
  • Develop and contribute to department objectives, assisting with operational and governance matters.
  • Maintain and develop the highest standards of patient-focused care, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Line manage members of the Pharmacy team and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team colleagues in quality/process improvement project groups.
  • Represent the pharmacy within the hospital campus, corporately, and externally.
Requirements
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Specialist knowledge in oncology, aseptic production, and haematology is essential.
  • Extensive experience in the above areas.
  • Previous management experience is essential.
