About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Energy Procurement Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Indirect Procurement team, you will play a critical role in managing renewable energy opportunities and delivering a key part of our transition to Net Zero.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of renewable energy strategies and projects, including on-site generation, shared wire networks, Power Purchase Agreements, and energy-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, environmental impact assessments, and company-wide strategy obligations.
- Provide innovative solutions to complex energy procurement challenges, leveraging your commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Manage and influence internal stakeholders to maintain and deliver appropriate risk management.
- Negotiate contracts to ensure best cost/service solutions for the business.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective business relationships and necessary KPIs.
Requirements:
- Deep experience in the Energy and Utilities sector, with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of managing renewable energy strategies and projects in complex multisite organizations.
- Demonstrable experience working on Power Purchase Agreements and other forms of renewable energy purchasing.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
