Job Title: Energy Procurement Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Procurement Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Indirect Procurement team, you will play a critical role in managing renewable energy opportunities and delivering a key part of our transition to Net Zero.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and implementation of renewable energy strategies and projects, including on-site generation, shared wire networks, Power Purchase Agreements, and energy-saving opportunities.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, environmental impact assessments, and company-wide strategy obligations.
  3. Provide innovative solutions to complex energy procurement challenges, leveraging your commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  4. Manage and influence internal stakeholders to maintain and deliver appropriate risk management.
  5. Negotiate contracts to ensure best cost/service solutions for the business.
  6. Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective business relationships and necessary KPIs.

Requirements:

  1. Deep experience in the Energy and Utilities sector, with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  2. Proven track record of managing renewable energy strategies and projects in complex multisite organizations.
  3. Demonstrable experience working on Power Purchase Agreements and other forms of renewable energy purchasing.
  4. Excellent organizational and project management skills.
