Your Daily Responsibilities As the HVDC Control & Protection Integration and Testing Specialist, you will spearhead the entire software development lifecycle during project execution. This role involves leading a dedicated team of software engineers in the development and integration of cutting-edge Control and Protection systems for HVDC applications. You will ensure that customer specifications are met while devising effective testing strategies to guarantee client satisfaction.

Key Contributions

  • Oversee the C&P software development process from project initiation to final customer acceptance testing, ensuring adherence to all relevant system specifications.
  • Establish and maintain consistent requirements engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guide a team of software engineers through the software development and integration phases.
  • Collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders to define acceptance tests.
  • Coordinate both offsite and onsite acceptance testing, compile test reports, and track outstanding issues.
  • Monitor development and testing progress, providing regular updates to project management.
  • Advocate for a model-based engineering approach and facilitate the efficient use of X-in-the-loop environments to meet project objectives regarding time and quality.
  • Work in tandem with project management and project leads to deliver exceptional value to our clients.
  • Assist tender teams in bid projects by planning and estimating integration and testing activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Automation Engineering) or a related technical discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with C&P systems for large-scale industrial converter applications (engineering/commissioning in HVDC or similar electrical converter systems).
  • Willingness to work onsite for certain periods during customer acceptance testing.
  • Experience in leading small engineering or commissioning teams is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proactive in driving initiatives and resolving challenges through effective partner management.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach to complex tasks.
  • Comfortable engaging in direct communication with clients and internal partners.
