As a vital member of the Passenger Assistance Team, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service to passengers requiring support, including those with hidden disabilities or mobility challenges.
Important Note: Candidates must successfully complete security checks in accordance with aviation regulations. This includes a comprehensive 5-year work and address history, a DBS check (with no disqualifying criminal convictions), and proof of eligibility to work.
What We Offer:
- Hourly Rate: £12.08
- Shift Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off Subject to change
- Shift Duration: 12 hours per day. Flexibility across all working hours is required
- Earliest start time: 03:00 am; Latest finish: 00:00 am.
- Weekly Compensation
- Temporary to Permanent Position (based on performance)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting arriving and departing passengers needing special assistance, including their families, through the airport using various means such as walking, wheelchairs, or electric buggies, based on their needs.
- Maintaining a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Providing support with passenger luggage as required.
- Completing daily equipment checks to ensure operational reliability, reporting any defects as per inspection procedures.
- Ensuring that all mobility aids are kept clean and in good condition.
- Updating Centralised Control on progress using IT devices.
- Accurately completing and submitting all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Performing any additional reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Availability to start as early as 03:00 am
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in customer service.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Full UK Driving License (preferred).
- Able to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
- Previous experience in an airport environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proof of current address is required.
- Successful candidates will need to undergo a basic DBS record check following the interview process in line with aviation requirements.
Note: As this role is within the aviation sector, candidates must provide a 5-year checkable history.
