About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Mental Health Support Team as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people, delivering evidence-based early interventions for mild to moderate mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people in educational settings.
  • Help children and young people access specialist mental health services.
  • Support and facilitate staff in educational settings to identify and manage mental health and wellbeing issues.
  • Work with educational environments to improve access to specialist mental health services.
Training and Development

As a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to study at the University of Southampton and gain a qualification in mental health practice. You will work under supervision to develop your skills and knowledge, and will be supported by a team of experienced professionals.

Person Specification
  • Ability to study at degree level.
  • Previous experience of working with children and young people (desirable).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
