Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transaction Processing: Ensure all invoices and cheque requisitions are processed and paid promptly, maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Carry out regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, to provide insights into our clients' financial performance.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to our clients to optimize their financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Financial Knowledge: Proven knowledge of financial systems, including accounting software, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to our clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
