We are a well-established and reputable organization seeking a dedicated Finance Support Specialist to join our dynamic team.
As a vital member of our finance department, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Process supplier invoices, including those from subcontractors.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and statements efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve any reconciliation discrepancies promptly.
- Set up new supplier and subcontractor accounts while maintaining accurate records in the purchase ledger.
- Ensure the subcontractor insurances register is current and compliant.
- Handle credit card transactions accurately.
- Identify and implement improvements to internal finance processes.
- Perform any other relevant ad-hoc duties to support the finance team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in purchase ledger management and a solid understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is advantageous, although experience with any accounting package will be considered. A qualification in AAT or an equivalent is preferred.
This role is perfect for individuals with a background as a purchase ledger clerk, finance assistant, or accounts assistant.
