About the Role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in helping people move forward with their lives by conducting assessments to determine their eligibility for benefits. You will work with a diverse range of customers, using your clinical skills to produce factual reports that support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in their decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Listen to customers' experiences, ask questions, and use your insights to produce high-quality reports
  • Work with a variety of cases across a range of conditions, using your clinical knowledge to deliver a quality and respectful service

What We Look For

  • An NMC registered nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience
  • Someone who is proactive, keen to learn, and has excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working towards individual and team targets in a supportive environment
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
