Junior Fit Out Estimator Job Description

Job Title: Junior Fit Out Estimator

Location: Rochester, Kent (Office based)

Salary: £25k - £30k

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fit Out Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the fit-out industry and be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive bid estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation.
  • Retrieve material and labour costs and input information into project budgets.
  • Maintain records of all estimates and projects, and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and summaries for review by management.
  • Support communication with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and verify scope inclusions.
Requirements:
  • Previous 2 years of experience in the fit-out industry.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel.
  • Ability to read drawings and undertake scaled take-offs.
  • Ability to attend site visits to undertake surveys prior to providing quotes.
  • Eager to learn with a driven attitude.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
