Management Accountant

Rotherwood is seeking a highly skilled Company Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage our sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations, credit control, and other financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Manage staff payroll, pensions, and other employee benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Process monthly management accounts, including VAT returns and year-end activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and manage supplier invoices for multiple companies.
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts, posting cash via cashbook and ledgers, and completing month-end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Liaise with external accountants and communicate financial information to various departments, ensuring timely and accurate responses to external queries.
- File all documentation into relevant departments and companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding accounting enquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Review financial information to identify potential issues and take corrective actions, ensuring proactive financial management.
- Manage prepayments and accruals, material and labour variance analysis, and setting labour and overhead rates.
- Oversee petty cash management, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Hold an AAT qualification in finance or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
- Have in-depth knowledge of accounting tools, including SAP, ERP, and CRM systems.
- possess analytical, numeracy, and computer skills, with attention to detail and strong organisational and communication skills.
- Be able to quickly interpret facts and compare data, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
4-day week, Monday to Thursday, with a salary of £35,000 to £38,000 depending on experience.
