About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Manager to join our team at Virgin Media O2. As a critical leadership role, you will be responsible for governing the delivery of IT application and business services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure the operational management and end-to-end service delivery of all applications delivered by our internal teams and third-party suppliers.
  • Work with Leaders across the wider CTO/CIO domain to achieve the highest levels of service excellence for our customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve applications and platforms, ensuring a fully lifecycle ethos.
  • Lead development and support teams in a dynamic and fast-paced, global environment.
  • Make strategic and objective decisions, demonstrating balanced consideration of technical and business issues, and individual and team goals.
Requirements
  • Technically highly capable with an extensive background in Operational and Service Management.
  • Experienced in delivering IT service using multiple methodologies, i.e., Waterfall, Agile.
  • Experience in a service delivery environment where the product and service are heavily dependent on IT platforms and rapidly evolving technology.
  • Significant experience in leading development and support teams in a dynamic and fast-paced, global environment.
  • Exceptional understanding of the budgeting cycle, including the ability to work with the Finance and other Senior leaders on organizational planning and strategy for 3–5-year outlook.
