Position Overview

Part-time role, 15 hours per week, permanent position

Salary: Up to £39,808 p.a. (pro rata for part-time)

We are seeking a qualified and seasoned hairdressing instructor to become a vital part of our Hair & Beauty department.

This position is ideal for either a seasoned educator or a professional from the industry eager to transition into teaching. We also have an opportunity for a Barbering instructor for candidates with expertise in both Hair and Barbering who are interested in a more extensive role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical lessons while tracking students' progress as part of their mentoring duties.

Candidates should possess a comprehensive background and qualifications in the hairdressing sector and must meet the following criteria:

  • Hairdressing qualification at Level 3 or higher
  • Teaching qualification - desirable but not mandatory
  • Assessors award - highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of the hairdressing field and experience within the industry
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-driven and well-organized
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
