We are currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of Administrative Support Officer within our Veterinary Investigation Centre.
This position presents a chance to enhance your skills and advance your career. Your primary responsibilities will encompass providing comprehensive administrative assistance across various APHA teams.
Key Responsibilities
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team in a fast-paced, responsive, and diverse role. Strong IT and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to different tasks as required. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build relationships with colleagues throughout the APHA.
Administrative Duties
- Manage a defined set of administrative processes, ensuring compliance with procedures and timely execution of tasks.
- Perform various office administrative functions for both the immediate and broader team, including managing submissions, preparing reports, monitoring mailboxes, and accurately entering data into APHA systems.
- Handle telephone inquiries, following up on unresolved issues. This includes processing and procedural tasks related to calls, such as documenting call details, updating databases, generating paperwork, and adhering to general administrative protocols.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues (internally and externally) regarding procedures.
- Continuously assess and improve procedures within your work area to enhance efficiency.
Customer Engagement
- Communicate effectively and deliver exceptional customer service to stakeholders, delivery partners, and clients, both internal and external, to understand their needs. This may involve coordinating with farmers and local veterinary practices for testing arrangements.
- Collaborate with laboratories regarding test results and reports.
Candidate Profile
