About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Therapy team at Priory Hospital Southampton. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions, working with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group therapy interventions tailored to the needs of patients.
  • Develop and deliver personalized treatment plans that promote independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and support staff.
  • Contribute to discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and effective transition back to the community.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them understand and manage their conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience in mental health settings, preferable but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate patients.
  • A proactive approach to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in supervision and training.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
