Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the hospital's archival collections, focusing on their long-term preservation. Responsibilities include acquisitions, temporary loans, disposals, cataloguing, and research.
- Conduct in-depth research on the hospital's history to provide valuable insights for both internal stakeholders and the public.
- Respond to public inquiries and manage acquisition offers with professionalism.
- Facilitate public engagement initiatives that highlight the history of Royal Papworth, including displays, digital content, and community talks.
- Collaborate with the communications team to support hospital events and initiatives.
- Work alongside the Royal Papworth Charity team to identify and pursue funding opportunities for future heritage projects.

Qualifications
Essential:
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in an archive, museum, or heritage setting, whether paid or voluntary.
- Familiarity with collections management systems and conservation practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of medical history and collections.
- Experience in public engagement and project leadership.
