Position Summary

We are currently seeking an Engineer to join our Imperfections and Tariffs division within the System Support and Analysis team. This role involves analyzing imperfections in the power system to understand cost implications and reporting these findings both internally and externally. The Tariffs aspect is crucial for cost recovery within the power system. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between operational and commercial teams, delivering on various technical and commercial processes aimed at meeting regulated targets and fulfilling stakeholder requirements.

Team Dynamics

The System Support and Analysis team operates across the island, providing a broad spectrum of technical and commercial support functions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and reporting on the imperfections budget
  • Calculating annual tariffs
  • Commissioning and testing market units
  • Conducting system service auctions
  • Managing technical performance of service providers
  • Verifying meter and market data in accordance with relevant codes
  • Analyzing renewable energy data

We also extend our expertise to support operations and market initiatives, contributing to future development projects.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant engineering degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
