Senior Power System Planning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power System Planning Engineer to join our team at Enexa Partners. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in planning the development of our power system, ensuring it is efficient and effective in meeting our renewable energy targets and demand growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement power system models using PSS/E, PowerFactory, and other simulation tools.
  • Conduct steady state load flow, voltage, short circuit analysis, and transient stability studies to identify future power system needs and possible solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and EU/UK energy policy framework into our power system.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions for cost recovery and internal governance papers to secure approval for Transmission Network Pre-construction Projects.
  • Mentor junior team members in power system analysis and planning.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in power system planning and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of power system simulation tools, including PSS/E, PowerFactory, and DSA tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on high-quality report writing and ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Competent in scripting and using Python to support power system analysis.
  • Electrical engineering degree and experience working in a regulated industry.
