We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a crucial role in managing electricity and gas assets. In this position, you will be tasked with:

  • Collaboration: Engage with Transmission System Operators and various stakeholders on technical matters, ensuring compliance with Grid Code.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze system performance, identifying issues related to availability, reliability, and power quality through thorough data analysis and investigation of control system behavior.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the Technical Lead for control, protection, and communication systems, working closely with Siemens Energy and other consultants to promptly address emerging challenges.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with a diverse array of contractors, consultants, and stakeholders within the electricity sector.
  • Effective Communication: Convey technical information clearly and confidently to senior management, colleagues, industry leaders, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a 3rd level education in a relevant field, coupled with over 3 years of experience in electricity generation, power engineering, or utilities sectors. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

  • High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) electricity transmission
  • High Voltage SCADA and control & protection systems
  • Programmable Logic Controllers within the energy sector

Compensation Package:

This role includes a performance-based bonus of 10%, alongside a contributory pension plan matched up to 9.5% by the employer. We also offer private medical insurance for individuals and their families, as well as critical illness cover. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements and a generous annual leave policy of 36 days, with the option to buy or sell an additional 5 days.
