About the Role

The company, a leading provider of premium quality products to food manufacturers, foodservice, and retailers throughout the UK, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Senior Food Technologist. The business has undergone significant growth due to its dedication to exceptional customer service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Deputise for the Technical Manager, supporting their responsibilities and stepping in when needed, and mentor and develop the Food Technologists within the department, helping them grow professionally.
Contribute to customer and third-party audits and ensure compliance with quality management procedures related to food safety and quality culture.
Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues effectively.
Complete customer forms, specifications, and other relevant documentation accurately and manage the quality manual and other food safety documents.
Manage supplier audits, packaging waste regulations, and license documentation.
Contribute to improving product safety, quality, and overall culture at both the group and site levels.

About You

The successful candidate should have a proven background of writing specifications within food manufacturing and possess a good knowledge of industry standards. Key qualifications include:

Proficiency in writing specifications.
Educated to degree level with a food science-relevant degree.
Leadership qualities with drive, ambition, and the ability to challenge standards within all relevant departments.
