Shaw healthcare is in search of a Catering Support Assistant to become part of the team at Mill River Lodge. You will collaborate with a team that is devoted to enhancing the lives of those in our care. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of service to our clients, ensuring they receive the same level of care we would wish for our own family members. Mill River Lodge is renowned for its exceptional care services, placing the needs of our clients at the forefront of our daily operations.

In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Cook, collaborating as part of the Catering Team to prepare and serve appetizing home-cooked meals to the Residents.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the chef with meal preparation
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents
  • Manage dishwashing duties, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
  • Collect and distribute crockery to and from care floors
  • Clear tea trolleys as needed
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and keep areas tidy
  • Uphold a clean and hygienic workspace
  • Follow reasonable requests from the Senior Chef/Chef
  • Ensure the nutritional requirements of residents are met
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Policies and Regulations

Salary: £12.30 per hour

Working Hours: Bank 0-hour contract, as needed
