Shaw healthcare is in search of a Catering Support Assistant to become part of our team at Mill River Lodge. You will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on enhancing the lives of those we care for. Our mission is to uphold the highest standards of care for our service users, ensuring they receive the same level of care we would wish for our own family members. Mill River Lodge is renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional care services. The needs of our service users guide our actions every day.

In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Cook, collaborating with the Catering Team to prepare and serve appetizing home-cooked meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the chef with meal preparation
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents
  • Operate the dishwasher and manually wash items as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and with equipment
  • Distribute and collect crockery from the care floors
  • Clear tea trolleys as necessary
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and keep areas tidy
  • Ensure a clean and hygienic workspace
  • Follow reasonable requests from the Senior Chef/Chef
  • Meet the nutritional requirements of residents
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Policies and Regulations

Salary: £12.30 per hour
