Job Summary

Health Your Way is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal/Home Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to a young lady with Lissencephaly, also known as 'smooth brain syndrome', in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is fun-loving, with a good sense of humour, and able to wear multiple hats at once. The successful candidate will provide 24-hour care, including support with personal care, bathing, washing hair, and dressing, as well as assisting with daily living activities and accessing social activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, washing hair, and dressing
  • Support with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Assist with accessing social activities, including outings and events
  • Provide respite care and support for evening routines
  • Support with the use and care of equipment

Requirements

  • Full driving licence desirable
  • Flexibility in working hours essential, including night shifts and weekends
  • Enhanced DBS check required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
