About the Role
The Elms Surgery, part of Primary Care Careers, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Salaried General Practitioner to join our team. As a Salaried GP, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our experienced healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake a variety of practice duties, including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, and home/care home visiting.
- Action bloods, tasks, checking, and signing EPS repeat prescriptions and PA scripts, dealing with queries as part of the day-to-day schedule.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organization.
- Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Develop care plans for patients with long-term conditions.
- Provide counseling and health education.
- Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary and work to ICB guidelines.
- Support/supervise physician associates when required to ensure smooth running of the practice.
- Manage and support ongoing palliative care and elderly care case loads.
