As the Regional Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of VPG's European operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of finance professionals and overseeing all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial analysis within the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the general ledger accounting functions for VPG's European subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and EU accounting standards.
- Oversee company assets and implement robust risk management strategies to safeguard VPG's financial interests in Europe.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the region, collaborating with operational teams to develop realistic financial plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls related to financial reporting and operations.
- Collaborate with tax authorities and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax compliance and audit procedures.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting within a multinational organization.
- Proven expertise in US GAAP and EU accounting principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of US and EU business culture and regulatory environments.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience leading and managing remote finance teams.
