Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our team at MJ Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering day-to-day payroll requirements, from managing payroll activities to payroll reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Daily management of the payroll mailbox, managing the relationship with the payroll provider, and dealing with any payroll-related queries.
- Payroll Processing: Preparing the month-end payroll changes file, reviewing and processing the monthly payroll files provided by the payroll provider.
- Pension Scheme Management: Day-to-day management of the pension scheme and coordinating any queries or changes.
- Year-End Payroll Activities: Managing the year-end payroll activities, such as P11D, PSA, P60.
- Salary Sacrifice Schemes: Managing the salary sacrifice schemes.
- Payroll Reporting: Managing payroll-related reporting.
- Financial Support: Supporting the Financial Controller on payroll-related matters in the year-end audit.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organizational Skills: Good organization skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and numerical proficiency.
- Payroll Experience: Experience of processing payroll and working with an outsourced payroll provider.
- IT Skills: Good IT and system skills, especially Excel.
Desired Experience:
- Payroll Year-End Activities: Experience of managing the payroll-related year-end activities, such as P11Ds, PSA, P60s.
- ERP System Experience: Experience using Netsuite or another ERP system.
- Payroll Software Familiarity: Familiar with payroll software.
Working Arrangements:
This is a part-time role, and we are looking for 25 hours per week, spread across 5 days in the office. The salary range for this role is £30,000 - £35,000 pro-rata.
