Children's Continence Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Continence Nurse Advisor to join our team at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. As a key member of our Continence Service, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to children and young people with continence issues.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality care to children and young people with continence needs. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals in the community and school settings, providing individualized support to promote continence and guide toileting, and planning, implementing, and evaluating programs of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to children, young people, and their families, as well as to healthcare professionals and other agencies.
- Assess the needs of individuals in the community and school settings, and develop individualized care plans to promote continence and guide toileting.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including education, health, and social care, to ensure seamless care and support for children and young people.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff, parents, and carers to promote continence and bladder control.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to continence care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Registered Nurse with current professional registration with the NMC.
- Experience of working with children and young people with continence issues, and a strong understanding of the complexities of this area of care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as with healthcare professionals and other agencies.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
