About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at The Gambling Commission. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex audits and regulatory assessments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to test the regulatory compliance of GB licensees and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support and lead on raising standards initiatives to ensure consumers' interests are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Advise local authorities on GB licensing requirements and act as a single point of contact for licensees.
  • Document engagement with licensees and produce clear, concise, and accurate reports for regulatory action.
Requirements
  • Experience of conducting complex audits or regulatory assessments, or the ability to demonstrate transferable skills.
  • Excellent interviewing and auditing skills, with the ability to prioritize a busy workload.
  • Adaptability and comfort with change, with a focus on continual improvement.
  • Ability to analyze and assess complex information, with excellent letter writing skills.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to complete work at pace within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals, including senior officers of large corporations.
