This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Farm Trials Assistant. You'll work closely with our Head of Crop Optimization and Farm Trials Coordinator to implement cross-departmental trials at our production site in Kent. Your role will involve:
- Assisting in the delivery of trials and providing support to other R&D activities.
- Implementing proof-of-concept, variety, agronomic, and post-harvest trials.
- Collecting data and samples for internal and external analysis.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
- Working collaboratively with the grower manager, agronomy team, NPD team, operations, and technical teams.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience working in commercial horticultural or food science R&D, technical, or trials teams.
- A BSc or above in horticulture, agriculture, or food science, or an advanced technical diploma in horticulture or equivalent.
- Knowledge of operational components of commercial plant and food production environments.
- Confidence in working with various machinery and equipment, and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with MS Office 365 programs.
- An eagerness to learn and a flexible mindset.
