Job Title: Cafe Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join our team at New Hall school in Essex. As a Cafe Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our small and warm cafe, providing great customer experiences, and serving high-quality food and beverages to our pupils and teachers.

The ideal candidate will have a background in exceptional food catering services, excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills, and a real passion for food and service. You will be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the cafe, including opening and closing procedures, food preparation, and customer service.
  • Supervise a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Ensure that all company due diligence, food safety, and health and safety standards are met.
  • Order and manage stock, including food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Report to a manager daily and participate in seasonal changes as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in cooking, food handling, and preparation.
  • Experience in stock management and ordering.
  • Experience in handling company due diligence.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused, and fun and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent organisation skills, great attention to detail, and a team player.
  • Great customer service skills and a flexible approach to work.
