Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with a team of 2-3 orthopaedic specialists/casting technicians
  • Deliver orthopaedic technical services to various service groups within the organization

Qualifications and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered with the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA)
  • Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
  • Affiliated with the Association of Orthopaedic Technicians (AOT)
  • Completion of the Ponsetti Course

Required Experience:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working with children aged 0-16 years
  • Experience with the Ponsetti method
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in an outpatient orthopaedic environment

Knowledge Requirements:

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong enthusiasm for teaching and knowledge sharing
  • Familiarity with the Knowledge and Skills Framework
  • Ability to self-evaluate and recognize learning needs
  • Active involvement in educational activities

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Virtual Fracture Clinics
