Key Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee the timely completion of annual vendor buying agreements, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations.
  • Utilize management information to identify opportunities for improvement in vendor negotiations and vendor management, driving cost savings and commercial benefits.
  • Develop and maintain best practice approaches to buying and vendor management, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading teams to support vendor strategy and drive commercial improvement, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Work in partnership with Category teams within Commercial to deliver business and cross-category objectives, leveraging expertise and knowledge to drive commercial success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement or commercial roles, with a strong understanding of negotiation levers and planning.
  • Excellent partnership skills, able to influence, challenge, and support across functions and levels.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to interpret and analyze data to deliver meaningful value-add insight to key stakeholders.
  • Strong team player with initiative and diplomacy when liaising with internal and external customers.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills, with experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
