Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Compliance Senior Specialist to join our Procurement Governance & Excellence (PG&E) team within Leonardo Helicopters.

This role is part of the wider Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function and is a cross-geographical team that interfaces with all P&SC units, aiming to establish common rules and practices, improve processes and systems, support audit with internal and external authorities, provide KPI and data sets to the whole organisation.

As a Procurement Compliance Senior Specialist, you will deploy your specialist knowledge to deliver the functions Compliance Monitoring and Procedure objectives, defining the P&SC process and procedures, ensuring their compliance with all requirements at Division and Corporate level, including legal and certification requirements.

You will manage the risk management process for P&SC, facilitating and acting as a UK POC, interacting with other departments to ensure the company is aligned and working towards being ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Possible).

This is a level 5 role on our Salary & Career Progression Framework (S&CPF).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively and in conjunction with cross-geographical PG&E team, assist in the creation and maintenance of published procedures covering P&SC business life-cycle processes
  • Provide procedural training and support to P&SC Community, as necessary, thereby addressing/mitigating audit non-conformance and promoting best practice
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy of procedures, ensuring proposed amendments and/or improvements are discussed, agreed, and authorized
  • Ensuring P&SC are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, considering the A&D industry
  • Acting as a local Point Of Contact (POC) for all UK related audits on P&SC, both internal and external
  • Support in preparation and execution for internal and external audits (law 262, law 231, quality, corporate, customer audits, etc)
  • Manage and monitor findings & closures from both internal and external audit
  • Analyse year-end audit results, creating and communicating the following year's schedule
  • Organise/execute departmental process adherence audits and data compliance checks, ensuring adherence to internal procedures & relevant regulations (AS9100, etc)
  • Act as the local POC & Coordinator for P&SC Risk Management Activities (such as Bowtie)
  • Manage UK release strategy & delegation change/increase requests
  • Monitor add and remove UK call-off contracts along with complete compliance checks

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level or qualified by experience with a minimum of 5 years experience of working within the Procurement & Supply Chain and/or Quality environment
  • Proven experience as compliance manager or auditor or procedure specialist
  • In-depth knowledge of the industries' standards and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
  • Methodical and diligent with good planning abilities
  • An analytical mind able to 'see' the complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Understanding of best practice procurement techniques & processes
  • Languages: English, Italian is a plus
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality

  • Able to work unsupervised and can operate well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, able to identify & drive key issues relating to Cost, Quality & Schedule
