Position Overview:
Provide essential support to young individuals and young adults as they navigate their entry into services and progress through their recovery journey. Collaborate with the MOPAC youth to adult (Y2A) hub to assist young adults aged 18-25 who are engaged with probation services. Conduct screenings, assessments, and psychosocial interventions while developing integrated care plans and offering post-treatment support, including care transitions. Recognize and address potential safeguarding concerns effectively. Aim to minimize drug and alcohol-related harm within the youth demographic and the broader community. Encourage involvement from carers, service users, and the community. Advocate for access to collaborative services. Work closely with young individuals to foster positive, holistic health outcomes, empowering them to lead safe, healthy, and meaningful lives while enhancing their resilience. Adapt to working across various locations as needed.Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in engaging with young people and a strong understanding of the challenges they encounter. Familiarity with safeguarding issues related to children and young people, including the Fraser Competence framework. Comprehensive knowledge of substance use issues and experience in a related field. Understanding of evidence-based practices concerning young people's substance misuse treatment services and adherence to best practice guidelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a high level of IT proficiency. Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines for information and report submissions. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative approach to achieving service objectives.Benefits Offered:
