About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team in the Liaison Psychiatry service at Torbay District General Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in contributing to the mental health care of people in the general hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialist mental health assessments and devise interventions to help people recover.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple agencies on a daily basis to provide comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, and their families and carers.
  • Develop and implement individual recovery plans.
  • Participate in research and development to improve service delivery and development.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified mental health professional with a professional mental health qualification, such as RMN, CQSW/ASW, BSc/Diploma in OT. You will have substantial experience of managing referrals in a busy environment and experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment. You will also have assessment experience, particularly in mental health and risk.
