About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Northern England or Central Scotland. As an HSQE Advisor, you will support the management team and the wider HSQE team in ensuring that health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and facilitate effective and proportionate management of HSQE across the North Region.
- Develop positive and proactive business relationships with all stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice, coaching, training, and support delivery of risk management programs.
- Monitor and improve implementation of risk assessments, work instructions, and KPIs.
- Support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining ISO and FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) accreditation and support internal and external audits.
Requirements:
- Recent and demonstrable experience as an HSQE Advisor.
- Level 3 qualification in health and safety (essential); Level 6 (preferred).
- Excellent communication, proactive support, and ability to act as a role model.
- Subject matter expert with specialist advice and support capabilities.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body; Chartered membership (desirable).
