New Business Trading Underwriter- Property and Liability

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled New Business Trading Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer.
  • Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate more technical and complex risks.
  • Provide excellent customer service at any opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of insurance product features & processes.
  • Knowledge of underwriting – Property & Liability.
  • Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
