Position Overview

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join Knightwood Associates as a Senior Commercial Lead. This role is pivotal in overseeing a significant multi-phase project within the residential construction sector.

The Senior Commercial Lead will take charge of the commercial team, offering essential support and direction to ensure an efficient and cost-effective commercial operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire, guide, and effectively communicate with the commercial team to align with the organization's objectives.
  • Assist the Project Director in managing the commercial aspects of the division, ensuring adherence to best practices while maintaining accurate cost control and reporting.
  • Ensure that all construction costs are up-to-date and thoroughly evaluated.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance department to integrate commercial assessments and viability studies.
  • Support the team in managing the procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the commercial team in preparing monthly valuations for ongoing and upcoming phases, as well as infrastructure accounts.
  • Engage with senior management to determine pricing for new budgets, prepare and assess service fees, and discuss preliminary sales and construction costs.
  • Coordinate with the Divisional Commercial Director and Group Commercial Team on initiatives aimed at enhancing profit margins.
  • Work in partnership with joint venture stakeholders on commercial issues as necessary.
  • Supervise the social housing surveying components of the project.
  • Contribute to the preparation of board-level information and participate in quarterly meetings to report on the commercial status of the joint venture.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in a commercial management role within the residential construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of COINS software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
